Etta brings with her years of experience in massage therapy and advice on birthing and how to remain calm !
Here is Etta’s story…
“I completed my first massage course in 1992 and since then have worked throughout the world in different fitness, spa and health retreats. As well as traditional remedial massage I have treated cancer and Aids patients in a team of allopathic and natural therapists working in health retreats, including Hideaway Heath Retreat in Tamborine Mountain; Camp Eden in Currumbin Valley and Living Valley Springs in Pomona/Noosa. Overseas I have worked in The Canary Islands, The Andaman Islands, Nagano Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Greece and Cypress.
I have always been keen to work with pregnant women and have built up a large amount of training and practice in this area. I now am able to add to my skills and knowledge working as a Doula and Childbirth Educator in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. I work across all areas of remedial massage but specialise in my work with pregnant women in the pre and post natal experience.
After 20 years of massage and caring for the body, I still enjoy it and see the great benefits it brings for all reasons. Whether it is a pregnancy massage, remedial, sports, deep-tissue, acupressure, lymphatic, reflexology, aromatherapy, hot -stone, lomi lomi or thai massage – they all have their purpose and I like to utilize different techniques depending on the issues presenting. A good massage keeps the mind, body and soul in balance.”
